1. Palmetto Update
CMS 1500 Medicare item 11 must be completed or your claims will reject. This lets them know that a good faith effort has been made to determine if Medicare is the secondary payer.

2. Screening Codes
CAHABA did not update the 2018 screening CPT codes to prevent co-pay and deductibles being applied.
RAs prior to 2/26/18 are affected.
77067, 76706, 00812, 00811, G0513 and G0514

3. Palmetto Update
Issue Identified 2/28/2018 It has been brought to Palmetto GBA's attention that Cahaba GBA applied the automated multi- channel chemistry code (AMCC) Panel Payment Algorithm causing certain laboratory tests with date of service on or after January 1, 2018, and received/processed by Cahaba prior to February 23, 2018, to price incorrectly. Claims received by Palmetto GBA with DOS January 1, 2018, or greater and processed on or after February 26, 2018, are not affected.
