Study 2: Changes in HCV RNA after the end of IV silibinin (week 2) in the 14 patients who received 15 or 20 mg/kg/silibinin/day. Combination therapy with PegIFNα-2a/RBV was started on day 8 and 280 mg silymarin 3 times daily on day 15. Data for the 5- and 10-mg/kg groups are not shown, and HCV RNA increased in all 6 patients after the end of the silibinin infusions.
