Everything you do can be searched, copied, saved, passed on, and seen by everyone in your INVISIBLE AUDIENCE. EVERYTHING!
Explain that everything a person does online makes up their DIGITAL FOOTPRINT and can be seen by ANYONE and EVERYONE!

I need your help!
Two middle school students want to complete their service hours by helping in the library but I can only have one student helper
Explain that students are about to help evaluate candidates for a library helper.

6. Digital Footprint Matters!
Your job is to:
Look over the profiles for two candidates.
Decide which candidate should be the library helper based on the positive and negative impressions left by their digital footprint
Pitch to ME which candidate should get to be the library helper
Students will be broken into groups of 3-4 students and hand each group the “Candidate Profiles” (Handouts).
Show students the “Feedback Form” Handout and explain to students that they need to examine the digital footprints of each candidate in order to determine which one would be best to be a library helper.
Allow each group 10 minutes to make their choice
Allow each group to present their choice.
