New Project: DOUBLE Layer Ring.
13
You may NOT just make a STRAIGHT BAND
14
You can drill into the top layer. And then cut away inside the design.
The TOP layer and center of BOTTOM layer. The TWO LAYER RING project has um… 2 layers. You can drill into the top layer. And then cut away inside the design.
15
Remember to FILE & SAND both inside and outside EDGES of BOTH layers.
This is the back of the bottom layer. Can you drill and cut away through BOTH layers? The 2 layers will be soldered together BEFORE making it round & into a ring. YES! But, you would do that AFTER you SOLDER. Basically it’s a smaller version of the SHAPE with in a SHAPE project.
16
a full length DOUBLE BAND can only be done if the
TOP layer is cut away very THIN. This is a very tricky thing to do. Only attempt if you are willing to WORK HARD.
17
Soldering a Full Length Double Band is almost impossible.
THIS is what usually happens.
18
Draw the BOTH layers TOGETHER.
Step ONE!
19
Draw the BOTTOM layer alone.
Step TWO! Leave 1 GRID space between
20
Draw the TOP layer alone.
Step THREE! Leave 1 GRID space between Leave 1 GRID space between
21
You will only design 3 rings instead of 10.
22
Messy. Scribbly. Poor Quality drawings are UNACCEPTABLE!
The quality of your work must be better (not worse) than what you have previously done!
23
Lay a ruler along worksheet
at your ring size mark. Draw a line across

Soldering is just like the “SHAPE within a SHAPE” project.
