Definitions Mean: average of data Absolute Value: distance a number is from zero on a number line Deviation: measure of variability that shows how far a number is from the overall pattern of data

Steps to find MAD Step 1: Find the mean of the data.
Step 2: Find the difference of each number from the mean. Step 3: Add the differences and divide by the number of data (MAD)
