1 Undergraduate Student Research Award
(USRA) To stimulate your interest in research. To gain research work experience. To encourage you to undertake graduate studies. value: $4500 for a full 16-week period + at least a $2000 supplement by supervisor Total: $6500.

2 Eligibility Completed all 1st year course requirements.
Cumulative average of 76% (B+ at UBC). Registered as full-time student at the time of application. May hold only one USRA at UBC Okanagan. Can apply to work with any Barber School faculty member who holds an NSERC grant.

3 Deadlines and Procedures
IKBSAS accepts USRA applications once per year for work during the summer term. Deadline: February 2, 2018, 4 p.m. Submitted to Julie Martin (ASC 407).

4 Application Procedure
Contact a faculty member, and ask her/him to agree to supervise you! NSERC Website, Form 202. Official Transcripts. 250 word statement describing your research interests and how the USRA would benefit you A reference letter by the supervisor.

5 Symposium You will have the option to present your research findings at a Symposium in September 2018 Please advise Julie Martin of your intention to participate in the Symposium by 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 27
