In math we wrapped up the first major math standard of the year: Operations and Algebraic Thinking. We are now moving on to place value concepts.
We are starting another author study next week! Make sure to ask your child on Tuesday who it is! 
The 100th day of school is tentatively scheduled for Monday 2/8!!! Please look in today’s envelope for a brown paper bag detailing a special project.
In Health we have been learning about emotions and how to get along with others. This tied in nicely with our study of Dr. MLK Jr. as we talked about peaceful problem solving.
We will be having a prayer test on the Our Father during the week of 1/19. Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
