Double Helix (DNA) Function: Facilitate replication ( copying of genes) Location: Inside the nucleus Definition: The spiral arrangement of the two complementary strands of DNA.

DNA Deoxyribonucliec acid , a self - replicating material present in nearly all living organism as the main constituent of chromosomes . It is the carrier of genetic information.

Messenger (RNA) Definition : The form of RNA in which genetic information transcribed DNA as a sequence of bass is transferred to a ribosome. Function: Carries the genetic information copied from DNA in the form of a series of three base codes. Where can you find it : In a human body / animal cells you can find the messenger RNA in the cell nucleus as well as other places like the ribosome, mitochondria ,bacterial genome and in viruses.

Found in: The DNA, which is inside the nucleus of the cell.
Hydrogen Bond (DNA) Definition: An electrostatic attraction between polar covalent bonds that occurs when a hydrogen atom bonded to an electronegative atom (Nitrogen, Oxygen, Etc.) experiences attraction to another similar electronegative atom. Function: Helps to stabilize and form the tertiary structure, which is the geometrical shape that a protein takes. Found in: The DNA, which is inside the nucleus of the cell.
