3 Local Round Scoring How to Score the Student Answer Forms:
First, write the total number correct out of 50 at the top of the form. Remember! If a student has a strike mark, subtract 1 point from the total. Remember! If a student has 2 strike marks, they are eliminated from the competition For the Tiebreaker section, separately count the total number correct out of 5 and write it at the bottom of the form. Both the Local Round score and the Tiebreaker score are reported.

4 Documents for Reporting Scores
After you finish scoring the Student Answer Forms you will need the following documents to report student scores: Regional Qualification Form Certificate and Score Form You can find both forms on the NESC website, or simply click on the links above.

5 Reporting on the Regional Qualification Form
The Regional Qualification Form is a Google form that must be completed online. This form is available by clicking here and on our website You will need the number & gender of pupils who competed in each grade You will need the information of the top 5 pupils in each tier Please enter all information in English After completing the form, click the “SUBMIT” button This form allows your school to participate in the Regional Round Please submit this form by Monday, February 5

6 Reporting on the Certificate and Score Form
Fill out the Certificate and Score Forms* You will fill out one form for Senior NESC competitors. You will fill out one form for Junior NESC competitors. The results for all pupils who competed in the local round must included on these forms. *If you do not have students competing in a tier, you can still compete in NESC. Your school must only compete in 1 tier to qualify for regionals.
