We will learn how to use addition and subtraction strategies to solve 1 and 2 step word problems within 100.

Writing: Opinion Writing
We will learn how to write an opinion piece by introducing the topic, stating an opinion, supplying reasons that support the opinion, using linking words and providing a closing statement.

Choose an activity from the January Speller’s Choice activity sheet
S.O.S for the weekly words – over, want, even
Read aloud for 20 minutes – practice retelling the story (introduce the characters and setting, include important details and the problem, and tell how the problem was solved)
