To gain knowledge about HOMEOSTASIS by taking fill in the blank notes.
Tuesday January 20, 2015 Vocabulary 1/20 Homeostasis Vocabulary & Notes 1/21 Stimulus & Response 1/22 Book Pages-Responses 1/23 Video Notes Homeostasis-The body’s tendency to keep an internal balance Stimulus-something inside or outside an organism’s body that causes the organism to react in some way Response-An organism’s action or change in behavior that occurs as the result of a stimulus. Fight-or-Flight-a physiological reaction in response to stress, which prepares the body to challenge (fight) or flee (flight) from a perceived threat. AGENDA DAILY GOAL To gain knowledge about HOMEOSTASIS by taking fill in the blank notes.

Wednesday January 21, 2015 Vocabulary 1/20 Homeostasis Vocabulary & Notes 1/21 Stimulus & Response 1/22 Book Pages-Responses 1/23 Video Notes Stress-Your body’s reaction to threatening, challenging, or disturbing events Adaptation-A trait that helps an organism survive and reproduce Equilibrium (homeostasis)-occurs when a system is balanced Internal Stimulus-Stimuli inside of your body, such as hunger, thirst, infection and an organism's response to the external stimulus of fear. AGENDA DAILY GOAL To understand Stimulus and Response and be able to distinguish between the two.

Thursday January 22, 2015 Vocabulary 1/20 Homeostasis Vocabulary & Notes 1/21 Stimulus & Response 1/22 Book Pages-Responses 1/23 Video Notes External Stimulus-Stimuli outside of your body such as the presence or absence of light and heat. Phototropic-Tending to grow or move towards the light Transpiring-giving off water through the skin and respiration Diffusion-process by which molecules tend to move from an area where they are more concentrated to an area where they are less concentrated AGENDA DAILY GOAL To read, gain knowledge, and understand how plants and animals behave in response to stimuli

Friday January 23, 2015 Vocabulary 1/20 Homeostasis Vocabulary & Notes 1/21 Stimulus & Response 1/22 Book Pages-Responses 1/23 Video Notes Positive Feedback-The response is to amplify (or increase) the response based on the stimulus Negative Feedback-A process is turned off by the condition it produces. Turgor Pressure-Helps give shape and firmness to plant stems and leaves. Adrenaline-Adrenaline gives you energy and causes other changes in your body that prepare you to take quick action. AGENDA DAILY GOAL To gain a deeper understanding of homeostasis & positive & negative feedback by taking A-Z Video Notes
