1 PKC-θ is a negative regulator of TRAIL-induced and FADD-mediated apoptotic spectrin aggregation
DOI: /FHC.a Overexpressed spectrin fragment accelerates aggregation of endogenous spectrin upon tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL-induced apoptosis) in Jurkat T cells. A. βII spectrin fragment (2142–2384): Spc-GFP, was cloned into a GFP-tagged construct (see Material and methods section); B. Endogenous spectrin (labeled in red on merged images, antibodies used mouse anti-spectrin and developed by using appropriate secondary antibodies as detailed in Table 1 accumulates below the cell membrane within just 30 min of TRAIL-treatment (100 ng/mL). Compared to untransfected cells, the overexpressed fragment of spectrin accelerates aggregation of endogenous spectrin. Scale bar 10 μm
