Background of revelation
The disbelievers of Makkah has made many offers to Prophet Mohamed pbuh, including wealth, women and kingdom to stop him from spreading his message. Then, they asked him to worshop their gods for one year; in return, they will worship his god for a year. This surah responds to all their proposals definitely and decisively.

Virtues of this Sura Prophet Mohamed pbuh has recited Surah Al Kafiroon and Surah Al Ikhlas in the sunnah prayers of both Fajr and Maghrib. Prophet Mohamed pbuh has advised his companions to recite it before going to sleep. He has told that this will protect them from polytheism.

قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1)
سُورَۃُ الْكَافِرُون قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1) Say, “O disbelievers!

قُلْ Say قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1)
“O disbelievers! قُلْ Say تبليغ كيجيے: بہترين انداز سے

O! أيُّهَا يَا أَيُّهَا قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1) يَا Say, “O
disbelievers! يَا أيُّهَا يَا أَيُّهَا O!

لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا
قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1) Say, “O disbelievers! تَفْعَل فَعَلَتْ يَفْعَلُ يَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلَ فَعَلُوا لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا اِفْعَلْ اِفْعَلُوا تَفْعَلُ تَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلْتَ فَعَلْتُمْ أَفْعَلُ نَفْعَلُ فَعَلْتُ فَعَلْنَا فَاعِل، مَفْعُول فِعْل

كَافِر كَافِرُون، كَافِرِين قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1) Say, “O
disbelievers! كَافِر Singular كَافِرُون، كَافِرِين Plurals

قُل يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ
How Allah addresses believers & disbelievers ََيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ O You who believe! Say, “O disbelievers!” 10

Words كَافِر Some Muslims think that all people know what Islam is! Through Media, internet, … Look at Muslims themselves. 90% or more don’t know what is in the Qur’an. And they expect others to know what Islam is? This is really arrogance and forgetting one’s own job. Look at how many times the Prophet pbuh conveyed the Message to Quraish in Makkah.. for 13 years!!! How many years have we done? 13 hours so far?

قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1)
Say, “O disbelievers! Allah is angry with the disbelievers. In the whole Qu’ran, Allah does not address them directly. Should we not be alerted and respond immediately? We should think about what we are doing. Are we following our egos & traditions or are we following the Qu’ran and Sunnah?

لاَ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ (2)
لاَ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ (2) I do not worship what you worship.

I do not worship what you worship. إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ عَابِد، مَعبُود

لاَ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ (2) I do not worship what you worship. مَا جو، جس كی ملاحظہ ہو مَا کے دوسرے معانی... آگے سلائيڈ پر

مَا مَا تَحْتَ مَا دِينُكَ؟ مَا في! No!o What What is your religion?
What is under What is your religion?

لاَ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ (2) I do not worship what you worship. تَفْعَل فَعَلَتْ يَفْعَلُ يَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلَ فَعَلُوا لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا اِفْعَلْ اِفْعَلُوا تَفْعَلُ تَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلْتَ فَعَلْتُمْ أَفْعَلُ نَفْعَلُ فَعَلْتُ فَعَلْنَا

لاَ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ (2) I do not worship what you worship. Because concept of Allah in Islam and other religions is different. There it is polytheism or association with Allah.

وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3)
[And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship.

وَ لاَ أَنتُمْ وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3) You not and
[And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. هُوَ هُمْ أَنْتَ أَنْتُمْ أَنَا نَحْنُ وَ لاَ أَنتُمْ You not and

وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3) [And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. تَفْعَل فَعَلَتْ يَفْعَلُ يَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلَ فَعَلُوا لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا اِفْعَلْ اِفْعَلُوا تَفْعَلُ تَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلْتَ فَعَلْتُمْ أَفْعَلُ نَفْعَلُ فَعَلْتُ فَعَلْنَا فَاعِل، مَفْعُول فِعْل

عَابِدُونَ، عَابِدِينَ
وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3) [And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. Singular عَابِدُونَ عَابِدُونَ، عَابِدِينَ Plurals

مَآ وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3) Not What
[And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. Not مَآ What In this Surah, مَا is used ONLY in the sense of ‘what’

وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3) [And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. تَفْعَل فَعَلَتْ يَفْعَلُ يَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلَ فَعَلُوا لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا اِفْعَلْ اِفْعَلُوا تَفْعَلُ تَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلْتَ فَعَلْتُمْ أَفْعَلُ نَفْعَلُ فَعَلْتُ فَعَلْنَا فَاعِل، مَفْعُول فِعْل

[And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. Don’t think that your worship is true worship because You do not worship only ONE deity, i.e., Allah. You associate partners with Him or call someone as son of God or avtar (human form) of God or you have angels as daughters of God; and so on. You do not have pure Tawheed.

وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ (4)
عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) [And] Nor (will) I (be) a worshipper (of) what you worshipped.

وَ لاَ أَنَا I not and وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) هُوَ
عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) [And] Nor (will) I (be) a worshipper (of) what you worshipped. هُوَ هُمْ أَنْتَ أَنْتُمْ أَنَا نَحْنُ وَ لاَ أَنَا I not and

وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) [And] Nor (will) I (be) a worshipper (of) what you worshipped. تَفْعَل فَعَلَتْ يَفْعَلُ يَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلَ فَعَلُوا لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا اِفْعَلْ اِفْعَلُوا تَفْعَلُ تَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلْتَ فَعَلْتُمْ أَفْعَلُ نَفْعَلُ فَعَلْتُ فَعَلْنَا فَاعِل، مَفْعُول فِعْل

مَا وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) What Not مَا دِينُكَ؟
عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) [And] Nor (will) I (be) a worshipper (of) what you worshipped. مَا What Not مَا دِينُكَ؟ مَا تَحْتَ What is under What is your religion?

وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) [And] Nor (will) I (be) a worshipper (of) what you worshipped. تَفْعَل فَعَلَتْ يَفْعَلُ يَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلَ فَعَلُوا لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا اِفْعَلْ اِفْعَلُوا تَفْعَلُ تَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلْتَ فَعَلْتُمْ أَفْعَلُ نَفْعَلُ فَعَلْتُ فَعَلْنَا فَاعِل، مَفْعُول فِعْل

وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ (4)
عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) [And] Nor (will) I (be) a worshipper (of) what you worshipped. لاَ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ was about present situation وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ This is about future. That is: No compromise in the matter of Deen (not because of arrogance, but because we are afraid of Allah).

[And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship.

لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ (6)
To you (be) your religion and to me my religion.”

To you (be) your religion and to me my religion لَهُ لَهُمْ لَكَ لَكُمْ لِي لَنَا

To you (be) your religion and to me my religion دِينُهُ دِينُهُمْ دِينُكَ دِينُكُمْ دِينِي دِينُنَا

To you (be) your religion and to me my religion لَهُ لَهُمْ لَكَ لَكُمْ لِي لَنَا

To you (be) your religion and to me my religion.” دِينُهُ دِينُهُمْ دِينُكَ دِينُكُمْ دِينِي دِينُنَا

To you (be) your religion and to me my religion.” Not a message to say that All religions are equal. Neither a message that we should stop Da’wah. Did the Prophet stop preaching after this revelation? It was revealed in response to offer of compromise. No compromise in faith matters.

In this Sura, we learnt that we should worship Allah alone and should never make any compromise when it comes to Deen. We do this not because of arrogance but because of our fear of Allah’s punishment.

قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ !
Main problem with Kafirs? They followed their nafs, egos, income, positions, institutions, traditions etc. They refused to follow the truth in spite of knowing it. Let people know the dangers of following egos and traditions. Follow Qur’an/Sunnah O Allah! Let us not reject or neglect the truth because of our egos and positions. DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check Do Istighfar. Ponder on the Greatness of Allah and our position in front of Him. How many times did we behave like that? How is our interaction when somebody tells us the truth.

Revise….!!!

سُورَۃُ الْكَافِرُون قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1) لاَ أَعْبُدُ
461* 150 قُلْ يَآأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ (1) Say, “O disbelievers! 143* لاَ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ (2) I do not worship What You worship

وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3) وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا
سُورَۃُ الْكَافِرُون 135 وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (3) [And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. 68 وَلاَ أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْ (4) [And] Nor (will) I (be) a worshipper (of) what you worshipped.

وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (5) لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ
سُورَۃُ الْكَافِرُون وَلاَ أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ (5) [And] Nor are you worshippers (of) what I worship. 1367 لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ (6) To you (be) your religion and to me my religion.”

قواعد – Grammar Make sure everyone takes one or two deep breaths before they continue with Grammar! Take a deep breath now and do all the exercises with TPI.

مَفْعُول the one who is affected فِعْل to do, act of doing
Do it with TPI فَاعِل the one who does مَفْعُول the one who is affected فِعْل to do, act of doing

TPI instructions … There was a time when Muslims used to give knowledge, art, technology, to the world. Now it is the opposite, because we left the Qur’an. Remember “to give.” When you say فَاعِل (doer), show it with your right hand as if you are giving, i.e., doing somthing. When you say مَفْعُول (the one who is affected), show it with your right hand as if you are receiving something, i.e., affected by the help. While saying فعل (to do), show it with your right hand by making a fist raised high as if you are showing the power of action.

فَاعِل فَاعِلُون، فَاعِلِين مَفْعُول مَفْعُولُون، مَفْعُولِين
Plurals… مُسْلِم مُسْلِمُون، مُسْلِمِين فَاعِل فَاعِلُون، فَاعِلِين مَفْعُول مَفْعُولُون، مَفْعُولِين

هُوَ فَعَلَ هِيَ فَعَلَتْ هُوَ يَفْعَلُ هِيَ تَفْعَلُ
Feminine Gender هُوَ فَعَلَ هِيَ فَعَلَتْ هُوَ يَفْعَلُ هِيَ تَفْعَلُ (أَنْتَ تَفْعَلُ، هِيَ تَفْعَلُ)

فَعَلَتْ يَفْعَلُ يَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلَ فَعَلُوا لاَ تَفْعَلْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا اِفْعَلْ اِفْعَلُوا تَفْعَلُ تَفْعَلُونَ فَعَلْتَ فَعَلْتُمْ أَفْعَلُ نَفْعَلُ فَعَلْتُ فَعَلْنَا 108* فَاعِل ، مَفْعُول فِعْل When practicing in Arabic, say it as if you are talking to Arabs
