2. adroit (adj.) skillful, expert in the use of the hands or mind
S: clever, deft, dexterous, slick
A: clumsy, inept, all thumbs
Pirates and ninjas are both adroit at piracy and… uhh… ninja-ing.

3. amicable (adj.) peaceable, friendly S: congenial, neighborly, cordial
A: hostile, antagonistic
I can’t think of a more amicable pair than these two.

4. averse (adj.) having a deep- seated distaste; opposed, unwilling
S: disinclined, loathe
A: favorably disposed, eager, keen
You are not likely to become a marathon runner if you are averse to strenuous exercise.

5. belligerent (adj.) given to fighting, warlike; combative, aggressive
(n.) one engaged in war
S: (adj.) assertive, truculent, pugnacious
A: (adj.) peaceful, conciliatory, placid
Everyone at work hates the belligerent guy. Don’t be that guy.

6. benevolent (adj.) kindly, charitable S: benign, well-meaning
A: malicious, spiteful, malevolent

A: thorough, painstaking, careful

S: fraud, double-dealing, chicanery
Harvey Dent’s duplicity is what makes him a really great bad guy.

9. extol (v.) to praise extravagantly S: glorify, applaud, acclaim, hail
A: criticize, belittle, disparage
We should extol the long summer days here in Michigan while they last.

10. feasible (adj.) possible, able to be done
S: workable, practicable, viable
A: unworkable, impractical
Since there is water there, it is feasible to some day live on the moon.

11. grimace (n) a wry face, facial distortion (v.) to make a wry face
S: (n.) pained expression, facial contortion
A: (n.) smile, grin, (v.) beam
This guy is making a grimace (or grimacing).
