2 Individual Graduation Plans
Goals of Individual Graduation Plans: Ensure that graduation requirements are met. These requirements are the minimum which must be satisfied to receive the Bibb Diploma or the Bibb High School Transition Diploma. There is a course of study which must be successfully completed to meet requirements for regular admission to Georgia’s University System. See your school counselor for additional information.

3 Graduation Requirements
Students in the Class of 2017 and beyond (who first entered high school in 2013) must earn 24 credits to graduate. These include: 4 English 4 Math 4 Science 3 Social Studies ( 4 Requirements for the class of 2021.) 1 Personal Fitness & Health (combined) 8 electives (7 Requirements for the class of 2021.)

4 The Tracking Sheet The tracking sheet is a form that is used to record all classes taken. Students can see what classes they have taken and what classes are needed. Students can then use this information to check against graduation requirements

7 Academic Rigor Requirements information for the HOPE Scholarship
HOPE Requirements Academic Rigor Requirements information for the HOPE Scholarship Beginning with the High School Graduating Class of 2015, a student meeting the requirements to be a HOPE Scholar at the time of high school graduation must earn a minimum of two full credits from the academic rigor course categories listed below prior to graduating from high school. For the High School Graduating Class of 2016, a student meeting the requirements to be a HOPE Scholar at the time of high school graduation must earn a minimum of three full credits from the academic rigor course categories listed below prior to graduating from high school. For the High School Graduating Class of 2017 and beyond, a student meeting the requirements to be a HOPE Scholar at the time of high school graduation must earn a minimum of four full credits from the academic rigor course categories listed below prior to graduating from high school. Credits received for academic rigor courses must be selected from the categories below: Advanced math, such as advanced algebra and trigonometry, math III, taken at the high school, or an equivalent or higher course taken for degree level credit at an Eligible Postsecondary Institution; Advanced science, such as chemistry, physics, biology II, taken at the high school, or an equivalent or higher course taken for degree level credit at an Eligible Postsecondary Institution; Foreign language courses taken at the high school, or taken for degree level credit at an Eligible Postsecondary Institution; or Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Dual Credit Enrollment courses in Core subjects

8 Promotion Requirements
Students who entered high school in the Fall of 2013 and subsequent years must have earned the number of credits indicated on the chart below in order to be promoted to the next grade level. Core areas are: English, Math, Science and Social Studies. Units necessary to advance to 10th Grade: 5 Units (must include 3 core) Units necessary to advance to 11th Grade: 11 Units (must include 6 core) Units necessary to advance to 12th Grade: 17 Units (must include 9 core)

9 Drop/Add Procedures Changing a class may affect your entire schedule. Any class dropped must be replaced with another class. Schedule changes are subject to space availability in the requested class. DROP & ADD PROCEDURE Complete form. Incomplete forms will not be processed. Return form to Counselor / Registrar’s Office. *****No schedules will be changed after the 5th day of the school year.***** Reasons for changing a schedule: 1. Student has already received maximum credit for the course. 2. Course out of sequence. 3. Student has already taken and failed assigned teacher.
