“One Spirit” (4:4) The Holy Spirit in Ephesians 1: Sealed 2:18 access by one Spirit to the Father 2:21-22 – a dwelling place of God in the Spirit 3:5 – now revealed by the Spirit Eph. 3:16 – strengthened with might through His Spirit

“One Lord” (4:5) How does this promote unity? As we submit to His will we are united As such, we set aside our differences (gender, race, nationality, etc.) to become one body

“One God and Father” (4:6)
Our heavenly Father, our supreme and sovereign ruler There is ONE God, 1 Corinthians 8:4-6, 1 Timothy 2:5 As Father, He is honored and reverenced. Submit Even Jesus called Him Father - John 17:1-5, Matt. 7:21, 10:32-33 He is over the Godhead in some way

He is within us – 1 John 1:7 “One God and Father” (4:6)
He is above all – 1 Corinthians 11:3 He is through all – His influence is found everywhere – Psalm 139:7-12 He is within us – 1 John 1:7

How does this promote unity?
“One God and Father” (4:6) How does this promote unity? When we together acknowledge Him and agree about Him we will be united. (Consider the polytheism of the time)
