2 Who is SUE HENDRICKSON Susan ‘’Sue’’ Hendrickson is an American paleontologist. Sue is a self-taught fossil hunter. Hendrickson is best known for her discovery of the Tyrannosaurus rex in South Dakota on August 12th 1990. The dinosaur Sue

3 T-rex named Sue What Hendrickson found was the largest and most complete t-rex found to date.The t-rex is 42 ft. long, with 200 bones preserved, including the longest t-rex tooth found- it’s a foot long! Because the skeleton is so complete, scientists have been able to learn new things about the t-rex. For example, one of the bones discovered was Sue’s wishbone which was similar to a bird. This supports the theory that modern birds evolved or are related to dinosaurs.
