The winner will be notified on or about October 9, 2017. -
7
Your Vote Counts! A blood or platelet donation counts as a vote for your organization. Here’s how the votes are broken down: A single unit of blood (one pint) counts as one vote A platelet donation counts as one vote A double red cell donation (two pints) counts as two votes
8
Our company is too small to compete
Not true! The winner will be determined by a formula based on the your number of employees divided by the number of units you collect. For example Business A has 53 total employees and receives 39 “votes”; 39/53 = 0.735 Business B has 35 employees and receives 29 “votes”; 29/35 = 0.828 Business B is the winner
9
Keeping it fair! Although an organization does not need a minimum number of employees to participate, the minimum number of employees you must list is 10 (ten). For example, if you have 1- 9 employees, you must list 10 (ten) on your registration form.

THE FINE PRINT visit the Corporate Challenge page at scbb
THE FINE PRINT visit the Corporate Challenge page at scbb.org for all official rules Know the rules! Eligibility: Since we stand by our motto “Live Here. Give Here. Saves Here.”, we only want businesses who serve the same areas we do to participate. Voting: So even if Double Red or platelet is 2 votes, they can still only pick one business or organization. Votes can’t be split.

Educate them about the need for blood products (our website, scbb.org is a great resource). Personally ask them to call BLOOD or go online to scbb.org to make an appointment. Be sure those you recruit to donate complete the voting ballot and turn it in when they donate, or ask the staff for a voting ballot. The donation will not count unless a voting ballot is turned in at the time of donation. Corporate Challenge Steps for staff
Recruit and direct organization to register on SCBB.org Once registered, the organization receives a confirmation with instructions where to find materials. Donor Services asks all donors if they are donating on behalf of a business participating in the Corporate Challenge. If the donor does not print out and bring the ballot with them, please give them one. The donation will not count as a vote if a ballot is not turned in at the time of donation. Donor Services signs off on ballot and sends to Joan Leonard at Mound. Volunteers will tally results Community Development will post updates on Social Media and SCBB.org
