2 Monday (Mon.) WU: Why do mountaintops weather faster than rock at sea level? Ans: Mountaintops will weather more quickly than rocks at sea level because they are exposed to more wind, rain, and ice than the rocks at lower elevations.

3 Tuesday(Tues.) EQ: How does erosion, weathering, and deposition shape the surface of the Earth? WU: What are the agents of erosion? Ans: The agents of erosion are wind, ice, water, and gravity.

4 Wednesday (Wed.) WU: How can the energy of waves traveling through water affect the shoreline? Ans: The energy from waves can erode away the shoreline and even change the shape of the shoreline.

5 Thursday (Thurs.) WU: Where does material come from that makes up the beach? Ans: The material that makes a beach comes from Quartz, coral, broken seashells, lava, and even boulders depending on the location of the beach.

6 Friday (Fri.) WU: What is the difference between saltation and deflation? Ans: 1: Saltation is when sand-sized particles are moved in the direction in which the wind is moving. 2: Deflation is when the wind removes the top layers of sediment or soil and leave behind the rock fragments that are too heavy to be lifted by the wind
