How does the normal bacteria in/on your body act as a component of the innate immune system? What are things that can disrupt your ‘normal flora’?

3 Microbial Shift Diseases
Diseases that are a result of a ‘shift’ in the normal population of bacteria On skin, in intestines, etc. Antibiotics are a big culprit Ex: IBS, Chrons?, Clostridum difficile (c. diff), diabetes?, autism?

4 C. diff Many strains resistant to antibiotics
Causes diarrhea- usually after a prolonged hospital stay Antibiotics as preventive measure or to treat infection Many people have consistent relapses
