This should be a review of what you learned as undergrads Recitatif How did you label the different characters according to race and social class? What within the story did you use to label the race/social class of the characters? What from your own life did you draw on to develop a picture of the two main characters? Where within the story are your assumptions challenged? Use the “isms” as identified by S&D to understand your response to Recitatif. What “isms” does Morrison trigger?
