I can explain and identify how science answers questions I can discuss levels of certainty, confidence, validity and agreement among scientists I can identify metric (SI) units and match them with what property they measure I can explain when, why and where the metric system (SI) used I can compare and convert meters to and from millimeters, centimeters and kilometers I can define and describe science in many different ways I can distinguish between theories, laws, and hypothesis and recognize examples I can elaborate on evidence in a situation and what it means to be skeptical with examples I can recognize and elaborate on how evidence plays a role in science and in life I can recognize an inference and point out examples I can describe the importance of models in science and in life I can tell the difference between direct and indirect observations/evidence I can identify many variables in a sample experiment I can identify the roll data plays and differentiate between qualitative and quantitative I can recognize the notions of trials, sample size and control groups in an experiment I can place information on a graph and understand information off a graph I can identify the main ways to graph and when each is appropriate
