3 Facts Born in Ixelles, Belgium in 1874. First generation modernist
Him and his brother inherited their father’s building company, allowing Perret to experiment with reinforced concrete. He studied in Paris at the National School of Fine Arts. In 1902, he made a name for himself designing an apartment building at Rue Franklin.
