Have you noticed anything about the order of the news stories? Reminder: Homework due tomorrow…write down the order of the news stories you see. What stories are reported in an effective manner? What else do you notice?

Any differences? What sound on tape did they use? SOTs.
What was the wording of the voice-overs? What was the most effective B-Roll used? How did the newscaster present themselves? What were the graphics used? What station do you think would be more sensational about a story? What story would that be??

COMPARE TO LOCAL NEWSPAPERS
Let’s look and see what the major news stories are today in the local papers. How is the coverage different from seeing it on tv? Give me a story that stands out and we’ll watch it on different news stations to see how it is presented.
