I appreciate your time greatly. It is such a blessing to have parents who are involved in their child’s education and to get to teach your children who have such a love for learning. Just a few reminders for this week: Our September birthday bash is this Friday at 2:15. Please join us if you would like! You are also more than welcome to send snacks for our party! It would be greatly appreciated. The theme for this month’s party is, “Miss Lynch’s Peanuts Go Fall Camping” because we are reading Henry and Mudge and The stary Night. I thought it would be fun to tie it to our party. I will supply the s’mores materials, so be thinking what other snacking to send that would be campy. Please make sure to send your September reading logs back! I will be sending out the October ones on Tuesday when I get back from the Co-op. Spelling Words What We’re Learning This Week
We will be working on these words all week and our test will be given on Friday. These are the same words from last week because we ended up reviewing long a because of the short week! Float, doe, grown, boat, shown, toe, yellow, below, toenail. What We’re Learning This Week Reading: Good readers know how to identify the major problem in a story and how characters react to it. Writing: Camping adventure personal narratives Math: Addition strategies Social Studies: How do we affect the environment? Challenge Problem! If your child can come up with the correct answer, show their work, and bring it back signed they will get peanut bucks! Complete this word problem and show your work: Amy bought 13 cupcakes at the bakery. She had a birthday party and 6 friends ate some. Her sister gave her 2 more as a present at the party. How many does Amy have left over to bring in her lunch to school? Lunch Menu Monday: Cheeseburger Tuesday: Spaghetti Wednesday: Chicken Strips Thursday: Chicken Fajitas Friday: Ham and Cheese Ripper
