CROSS COUNTRY RESULTS ! By Abi,Lucy,Carys

The league We are proud to announce that the girls A team Lucy, Carys, Abi, Natasha and Lakshmi won the team event by a long margin with 43 points – 2nd place got 137! We had the top 3 individual girls in the entire league. 1st place was Lucy Phillips . 2nd place was Carys Jeffries. 3rd place was Abi Belward. Lucy came in with 30 points, Carys came in with 28 points and Abi came in with 25 points.

Upper school championships!
The girls A team won the event , competing against some tough competitors The top three individual girls were: Lucy Phillips, Natasha Fraser-Corbridge and Carys Jeffries The boys A team came 12th out of 33 teams

Lower school championships!
Stanley Phillips, who is in year three, came 7th in the lower school championships. And the top lower school girls came 11th and 12th

March Hare Altogether we had 7 teams involved
Our girls team placed 3rd We set off in 1st place and then fell back a few places We then gained two places and our final runner took us up one more place to finish in a secure 3rd place Our girls team was made up of Natasha Frazer-Corbridge, Charlotte Vado, Abi Belward and Carys Jeffries.

Greggs School Cross country event!
We left school and travelled with Mr.J to The Greggs school to compete in their cross country event. There was some tough competition, but we held our own. In the girls races Carys Jeffries, who was competing in the year 5 race, stormed to win – leading from start to finish! Returning from injury, Abi Belward battled her way through the competitors to finish in a highly respectable 3rd place. In the year 4 boys race, Finlay Bryant came in 5th place, amongst a very strong group.

Hampshire Schools Final
Having secured first place in the girls league, Lucy was picked to represent the whole of Southampton in the Hampshire Schools Final in Basingstoke, along with: Amber Rood, Carys Jeffries, Natasha Fraser-Corbridge, Lacey Chmarny, Olivia Higgenbottam and Lakshmi Divakaran. It was an extremely competitive field with runners from all over Hampshire. Lucy came in 2nd, just 1 second behind her running friend from Southampton Athletics Club.

Next Year We would love to see even more smiling faces representing our school at next years events – which start in September. If you are interested you will find out more details at the start of next year.
