2. SBCC Activities Accomplished (May – June 2017)
Organized 50 workshops for newlywed and low-parity couples on small family norms, ANC/PNC, birth spacing, nutrition, child marriage and gender issues at upazila/district levels;
Motivational programs for slum-dwellers in 5 city corporations focusing on child marriage, teenage pregnancy, ANC/PNC, PPFP, LAPM, facility delivery, 5 danger signs etc;
AV-Van shows in 29 Zones in 64 districts;
Publication of DGFP eBulletin (English);
Publication of Porikroma (Bangla/Quarterly)

3. Observance of World Population Day 2017
Nationwide Celebration of World Population Day 2017 on 11 July in a festive and befitting manner for the first-time ‘leveraging our own resources’;

4. Observance of WPD 2017 The WPD programs include:
Colorful Rally led by our Hon’ble Secretary;
Inaugural ceremony at Osmani Memorial Hall followed by Award Giving Ceremony;
Display of SBCC materials by DGFP & DGHS Units and NGOs/INGOs;
Similar programs also undertaken at Division, District & Sub-dist levels.

5. SBCC Activities Accomplished ……
Organized four Training/Workshops on:
Training on Strategic SBCC (4-day) attended by 50 mid-level FP officials (DD/PM & DPM) in two-batches from DGFP HQ and field;
Message Development Workshop (3-day) attended by 50 mid-level FP officials (DD/PM & DPM) in two-batches from DGFP HQ and field;
Planning Workshops (4-day) attended by 50 mid-level FP officials (DD/PM & DPM) in two-batches from DGFP HQ and field;
Workshop on ‘Integration of SBCC M&E Indicators in DGFP MIS System’ (3-day) attended by 50 mid-level FP officials (DD/PM & DPM) in two-batches from DGFP HQ and field;
USAID Ujjiban SBCC Project
provided us Technical Assistance in all four Workshops.

6. Upcoming Key SBCC Activities under following COMPONENTS:
Community Mobilization, Sensitization & Advocacy;
ICT and Social Media;
Outdoor Media;
Capacity Building for Service Providers and Managers;
Production, distribution & Display of SBCC materials;
Media campaign through BTV & Bangladesh Betar including Private TV and Radio Channels.
