3 Why did the Nazis become the largest party in the Reichstag?
They managed to get support from workers, the middle class, white-collar workers, self-employed, civil-servants, peasants and others. They appealed slightly more to women and appealed slightly more to protestants. They tended to be aged They tended to have a great deal of support in the East and Centre of Germany. They had less support in the West or far South. They tended to get support from the rooted and traditional rather than those in industrial centres. Who voted for the Nazis? Why did they vote for them?
