3 Ratio A ratio is a comparison of one value to another.
Like a is to b or a/b or 1/2. In other words a ratio is a FRACTION like 3/4.

4 Proportion A proportion is a comparison of one ratio to another ratio, like a/b = c/d. 3/4 = 6/8

1.) If a/b = c/d, then b/a = d/c 3/4 = 6/8, then 4/3 = 8/6 2.) If a/b = c/d, then ad = bc 3/4 = 6/8, then 3•8 = 4•6 or = 24
