Objectives for Regional Accounts
Concentrate on core delivery programme Improve completeness through elimination of Derogations Limit response burden on NSIs Accelerate data collection

Breakdown by A 17 not available in some MS Delivery delay t+36 months in some MS Breakdown A 6 sufficient for most users Liberate resources in NSIs and Eurostat

Proposals (1): Table 1000 Reduce breakdown from A 17 to A 6
Drop column ‘GDP’ Advance deadlines as follows: Total GVA (former ‘summer estimation’) to 12 months (becomes ‘winter estimation’) All other variables to 18 months

Proposals (2): Table 1200 Keep breakdown at A 3 Drop column ‘GDP’
Keep deadline on employment at 18 months Advance deadline on GVA to 18 months
