Question: what is the average pulse rate of L. variagatus?
Objectives:
Review microscope techniques
Review experimental design and set up
Determine the average pulse of a blackworm
Collect data and create a suitable graph using excel
Define the relationship between independent and dependent variable

3. Materials- L. variagatus- 5, microscope, well slide, cover slip, pipette, spring water
Procedure- using a pipette carefully suck up a single worm from the petri dish. Transfer worm to the well slide, with minimum water. place a cover slip on top. Using 4x objective, locate the pulse in the mid section of the worm, count for a full minute. Record the pulse rate in a table. Average the data, produce a graph.
