Language Arts – Letters I & J (handwriting / letter recognition / sign language / sound / song);  Color Word: Orange; Continuing to practice our first name using the correct uppercase and lowercase letters; literature about the alphabet, pumpkins & autumn
Math – Correct digit formation for numbers 0-10; Measurement, patterns, estimation, size ordering with pumpkins
Guidance – Celebrating our similarities and differences 
Pumpkins were our theme of the week here in kindergarten! We learned about the life cycle of pumpkins, made jack-o-lanterns to decorate the classroom, learned how to spell the color orange and we read some fun pumpkin books as well.  Today was our Pumpkin Extravaganza and we had a great time! Many, many thanks to the parents that donated items for our fun event and also to the parents that donated their time to help run the stations!
Next week we have a visiting author Kwame Alexander, as well as a visit from the Berwyn Fire Company.  It's going to be another fun week!
