1 THE GREAT LEAP FORWARD The Great Leap Forward took place in 1958.it was Mao’s attempt to modernise china economy so that by 1988, China would have an economy that rivalled America. Mao's Great Leap Forward killed 45 million in four year’s during the time that Mao's was enforcing the Great Leap Forward in 1958 in order to catch up. Mao had toured China and Concluded that the Chinese people were capable of anything and the two primary tasks that he felt they should target was industry and agriculture. Mao announced a second five years plan to last from 1963.this plan was called the Great Leap Forward. The great Leap forward was an economic and social campaign by the communist part of china from 1958 to 1963.The great Leap ended in catastrophe resulting in tens of millions of deaths. 2 Mao Zedong Mao Zedong was born December 26, 1893 and, he died in September 9, 1976 he was 82 years old when he died. He had 10 children , Mao was a visionary. After he spent his childhood doing farming at his family house his family owned lands. He join china’s communist party started making histories. Mao Zedong leader of the communist party of china. He was best known for founding Father of the people’s Republic of china. Mao was born in cabochon in human province. He came from a peasant family. As with all peasants living in Nineteenth century china, his upbringing was hard and he experienced no luxuries.

3 The culture revolution
In 1966 china’s communist leader Mao Zedong launched what became known as the cultural revolution. In order to reassert his authority over the chines cove after the distorts effects of The Great Leap Forward Mao Zedong in fluency on the army and student population to revolt against no pressure . Mao alleged that bourgeois elements had infiltrated the government and society at large aiming to restore capitalism. They where Set into motion by Mao Zedong then Chairman of the Communist Party of China its stated goal was to preserve true Communist ideology in the country by purging remnants of capitalist and traditional elements from Chinese society and to repose Mao thought as the dominant ideology within the Party.
