Price Justification HISTORICAL DATA ALLIED CONTRACTS ALLIED/HISTORICAL HYBRID I will discuss Price Justification using HISTORICAL DATA, ALLIED CONTRACTS, and ALLIED/HISTORICAL HYBRID.

4 Historical Data: this is what the screen should look like if you choose to do a Price History justification.

5 Price History: These are the results you should get. You use the “Aver
Price History: These are the results you should get. You use the “Aver. Unit Price/Quantity” on the top line only, labeled “District” “00”.

6 Price Justification ALLIED CONTRACTS

7 Allied Contract: choose “Low Only” fro the Bid Type, and “Detail” from the Report Type. This will give you the winning bid for all contracts in your locale.

8 Allied Contact: this is what the results will look like
Allied Contact: this is what the results will look like. You need to use 2 contracts with similar quantity to support your price. If you only have one contract with similar quantity and a price that can support your price you may use Allied Contract Alternate.

9 ALLIED/HISTORICAL HYBRID
Price Justification ALLIED/HISTORICAL HYBRID

10 Allied Contract Alternate: This is an option to use when you only have one contract that has similar quantity and a price that is within the range to justify your price. You may use that one contract and its 3 Low Bids.

11 Allied Contract Alternate: You use the contract that has similar quantity and similar price. You would average the 3 Low Bids and may add 10% to justify your price. If this 3rd option does not work, then you must you Force Account Estimate to justify the price.

12 Things To Remember

13 Excavation items, in all their forms, cannot be justified using Price History data. Any item having a unit of measure of Lump Sum cannot be justified using Price History data.
