Joint Staff Suffolk Arrival and In-Processing Procedures
1. All attendees must go through the Suffolk Security In-Processing Center (SSIC).
Event participants with valid CAC or Teslin military ID may enter via the main gate to
park within the perimeter or proceed to Burbage Grant parking lot and skip to step 5 below.
Show Federal Photo ID to guard to obtain turnstile swipe card.
Those without US Gov’t Federal Photo ID must first go to Suffolk Pass Office,
located in the trailer to the west of the vehicle guard station on Lake View Parkway
(See slide 3). A turnstile swipe card will be issued at the Pass Office.
4. Once a turnstile swipe card is in hand, proceed to Burbage Grant parking lot.
Park vehicle and follow western pedestrian route to SSIC (See slide 3) where clearances will be verified and badges will be issued.
All attendees must go through the Suffolk Security In-Processing Center (SSIC).
6. Once badges are in hand, proceed to the Bldg. 116 entrance across the parking lot.
7. Display your event badge above the waist as you enter the door. Be prepared to show this badge to security guard, if requested.
8. Once inside the building follow signs to the room where your event is located.

NEWPORT NEWS / WILLIAMSBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Follow signs leading to Interstate 64. Take I-64 East, towards Hampton. At Interstate 664 interchange, follow I-664 South, towards Suffolk. Upon crossing the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge-Tunnel, look for College Drive signs and take exit 8B. Turn left at the first light on Lake View Parkway (at the Applebee’s). This road will terminate at the Joint Staff Suffolk Complex’s main gate. (Total miles: 23)
NORFOLK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Follow signs leading to Interstate 64. Take I-64 East, towards Chesapeake. At Interstate 664 interchange (exit 299B; approximately 20 miles), follow I-664 North, towards Newport News, to College Drive (exit 8B). Turn left at the first light on Lake View Parkway (at the Applebee’s). This road will terminate at the Joint Staff Suffolk Complex’s main gate. (Total Miles: 30)

3. 1 Step # 1: Obtain a Turnstile Access Card UNCLASSIFIED / FOUO Legend

Event In-processing occurs in the Security In-processing Center
All visitors WITHOUT a U.S. Federal photo ID must first go to the PASS Office (Trailer) located west of the vehicle entry gate on Lake View Parkway. There a turnstile access card will be issued.
Those WITH a Common Access Card or military Teslin card can enter the perimeter and park or go directly to the Burbage Grant parking lot and obtain turnstile access card from the guard. You must show your photo ID to the guard at the turnstile.

From I-664: Exit at College Drive South (Exit 8B). Follow College Drive south to second traffic light and turn left onto Burbage Drive (to your right will be Bank of America). Follow the road through the round-about, and continue on Burbage Drive extension. Turn left at large commercial office building. Follow road to parking lot.
From Norfolk: Follow College Dr south. Turn left at 2nd traffic light (Burbage Dr), go through the round-about, and turn left at the large commercial office building. Follow the road to the parking lot. 2
