4 Installation Binder Purpose: The purpose with Installation Binders is to collect and structure all necessary and relevant information regarding an installation work. This will make it easy for everyone involved in installation, to prepare documents, file what’s expected (prerequisites, guides, templates etc) and to find and use the information.

9 Purpose IRR The purpose with Installation Readiness Review is to review if the necessary preparations have been performed and the supporting documentation are in place for the upcoming installation package. An installation package is manageable discreet piece of the complete installation (size of package depending on many factors). IRR

10 Scope of an Installation Package & IRR
The scope of an installation package might vary a lot, from small minor works to months of complex, large team installation. Small – Not all sections in binder relevant, few participants in an IRR etc Large – Complex documentation (including quality plan), many stakeholders at an IRR etc.

11 Timing of an IRR Typically about 1 month before the installation starts To early, preparations and documentation not in place To late, potential issues can not be addressed in time

Has the issue/rest list from the CDR been addressed? Are the Installation Binder complete and the content checked? Will the material for this installation be available in time? Will the resources needed for this installation be available? Is the site ready for this installation? Checklist for IRR available

17 What is a work order? A work order is an internal document extensively used by projects-based, manufacturing, building and fabrication businesses. A work order may be for products and/or services. A Work order will be used to signal the start of an installation process and will be linked to a method statement (RAMS) or an installation binder. The work order will mainly state: Installation activity start and end time. Summary of the activity. Documents related to this activity.

20 Why do a work order need to be approved?
An approver of a work order need to verify the following before approving a work order: Installation/safety supporting documents are in place and up to date. Permits are in place and up to date and standards. Time frame is available and parallel work does not pose any risks. Spatial integration requirements are met. Other departments and areas coordinators are in Sync with the work order. On site resources are available
