1 Week 1 (May 14 – May 21, 2018) Accomplishments: Problem & Solutions
Project #3: Low Cost, Ultralow Power Sensor Design and Fabrication for IoT REU student: Mary Broyhill Graduate mentors: Pawan Pathak Faculty mentor(s): Hyoung Jin Cho Week 1 (May 14 – May 21, 2018) Accomplishments: Came up with a mathematical relationship between the mass and thickness for Ecoflex 00-30, which is the flexible substrate for the sensor. Researched about flexible sensors based on nanoparticles. Learned how UV sensors work. Problem & Solutions Had to graph the current versus the voltage, but the application for the potentiostat was not working. Will have to ask Dr. Cho next week or use a different potentiostat. Plans for next week: Go more in depth about the fabrication process for the flexible sensors. Go into the clean room. NSF REU Research Experience on Internet of Things 2018
