2 What is a Specimen? A specimen is a sample of how you use your trademark in the marketplace in connection with the goods and/or services identified in your trademark application. Specimens for goods are often digital photographs of the mark on the goods associated with your trademark application. Specimens for services are often screenshots of your website or brochures showing use of the trademark in connection with the services associated with your trademark application.

3 What Is A Drawing? A drawing is a depiction of the mark you wish to file a trademark application for.

4 Are There Different Types Of Drawings?
Yes, there are different types of drawings. Standard Character Drawing (word mark) – A standard character mark does not contain any design element and does not have any claim to the manner of display. Special Form Drawing – A special form drawing is one with a design element and claim to the manner of display. The most common type of special form drawing is a logo.
