Shinto Shinto is the major religion in Japan.
The word shinto means “Way of the gods.” They believe in the spirits known as “Kami.”

Shinto Cleanliness is the core of shinto belief.
Its followers observe a ritual called “Misogi,” which shows the value of cleanliness.

Nippon was derived in the chinese word Jih-Pen, a chinese word meaning “the coming of the sun”.
