How to make and use the First Conditional sentences

3 Glossary To haggle = to argue about the price of something/ to argue about the details of something

4 The First Conditional I will, but if I cover for you this Friday will you teach instead of me next Wednesday? When I cover for you on Wednesday you will tell me what the topic is before, right? Real or unreal? (likely or unlikely?) When? Past, Present, Future? We use the first conditional to talk about possible future situations. We use the Present Simple in the if-clause and Future Simple in the main clause If + Present Simple, will + infinitive

5 If the weather will be bad, we don’t walk to work.
If the weather is bad, we won’t walk to work. If you do the dishes, I will walk the dog. I will walk the dog if you do the dishes. I will = I’ll you will = you’ll he will = he’ll she will = she’ll it will = it’ll we will = we’ll they will = they’ll He’ll call you back If you leave a number. We’ll see you again tomorrow if we have free time. If he knows the answer, he’ll tell you.

6 Match the two clauses to haggle about house chores:
