We have already set up a financial sub – group We are having updates on our income and expenditure at Exec meetings And we will review our spend annually MORE ABOUT THIS LATER But we have on the web an opportunity for these groups to apply for funding from the region Rolling Budget Discretionary Grant and / or Loans Mechanism For Support To Districts, Groups And Individuals

RAG Reviews of Development Plan with Executive and Regional teams This is about what do we really need – what due the GSLs need We have had seminars and conferences with leaders and commissioners as well as regular meeting It is two way it is the direction from Scouts Scotland and the Region but also from the Groups and Districts and a matrix We have a key vacancy can you help ARC (Comms + 1); ARC (SS); District wide network of participation Interfaces with managers and supporters Recruitment – Specifically ARC Development

Key Areas Training Establish a Shared Approach to, and Values in, Adult Training among Key Scout Community Training advisers seminars are vital so that we have a shared approach. We have followed the lead of other regions and I believe the cost should not be by the groups. When we say training I specifically mean modules and mandatory training. I remind you that as a leader you much complete your wood badge for the role however you do not need to attend training if you have the prior knowledge I have asked the ARC to give feed back on an appropriate frequency Examine and establish a cost budget and method to make training “free” at point of use Identify Appropriate Frequency and Content of Regional Training Conferences

DCs have their own district Devp plans and an example will be presented later March the 10th is the date for Districts Teams and Youth Advisory groups for networking and quality of programme focus LDO Targets and Support Survey Leadership Shortage Requirements and Establish a Realistic Target Objectives List Regional Team Event Conduct Seminars Appropriate for the Development and Understanding of Volunteer Leaders and Commissioners

Design a comms system that is linked to individual members so that members (14+) are kept connected and knowledgeable of their opportunities These are the key points Neil will expand The big challenge is how to we convert the call it receive the communication but difficult to get the engagement of all leaders Initially Interact with representative groups to establish members views Get All Communication Channels Refreshed Local External Communication Team
