How to achieve spiritual fitness through nutrition and exercise
There are parallels between achieving physical fitness and spiritual fitness. Proper nutrition and exercise are vital for both!

Nutrition: Feed on God’s Word
God’s word is our food (Matthew 4:4; Amos 8:11; Psalm 19:9-10; John 6:27) It is both nutritious and tasty (Psalm 119:103; 1 Peter 2:2-3; Hebrews 6:5) It is able to build us up (Acts 20:32) We should… Eat regularly! (Job 23:12) Eat a variety! (Isaiah 28:10; 2 Tim. 2:15) Enjoy eating with others! (Acts 2:46)

Exercise: Put God’s Word into Practice
Proper eating must be coupled with exercise in order to become fit If we eat but never exercise, we’ll be obese! (Titus 1:12-13) If we exercise without eating, we’ll faint and waste away! (Hebrews 5:12-14) Exercise is commanded! (1 Timothy 4:7-8) Heaven is your goal! (1 Corinthians 9:24-27) The spiritually lazy will not reach it! (Hebrews 6:11-12) You must “work out”! (Philippians 2:12)
