5 Set up for.. Provide guidance tools and resources to enable East Midlands Councils (EMC) members to invest in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and generate income via Feed in Tariffs. Enable access to the Solar PV framework for East Midlands Councils Members without charge. Establish a vision for a Regional low carbon retrofit Green Deal model; design and test the most suitable financial model and delivery structure to ensure best value to members and successful energy savings for residents Importance of consultation and dialogue with stakeholders

6 Scale of the Challenge Domestic Retrofit Government commitment to reduce emissions by 80% by 2050 - 25% of emissions from housing Climate Change Committee target- 90% all lofts & cavities 2022 - 10.1 m lofts & 7.5 m cavity walls Solid Wall insulation - 2.3 m additional solid walls - 1.5 m to follow in 2020s
