2. Consumers We have designed two gliders.
One is for boys and one is for girls.
Our age range for the boys is 11 years old.
Our age range for the girls is 11 years old.

3. What did our targets want ?
The boys wanted gliders that did stunts.
The girls wanted gliders that go straight.
Bright colors.
Bold designs.
Simple directions.
They also want help to build a glider.

4. What did we learn from our first glider ?
We learned that if you have wide wings the plane will soar.
We also learned that you have to have the wings in the right position to go straight.
We learned how to launch a glider the right way.

6. Materials for the boys glider
Balsa wood stick
Tape
6 grams of clay
Styrofoam
Scissors
Help from a parent

7. Directions for the boy glider
Cut two squiggly shapes out of the Styrofoam . The shapes will be the wings.
Then cut a shape that looks likes half of a heart. That is going to be the rudder.
Tape the squiggly shapes on the balsa wood stick.
Then tape the rudder on the back wing .
Put 6 grams of clay on the tip of the balsa wood stick.
Fly your glider!

8. Materials for the girls glider
Styrofoam
Tape
Balsa wood stick
6 grams of clay
Scissors
Help from a parent

9. Directions for the girl glider
Cut a big rectangle and a small rectangle out of the Styrofoam. The rectangles will be the wings.
Cut a square out of the Styrofoam. The square will be the rudder.
Get the balsa wood stick.
Tape the big rectangle 20 inches from the top of the stick .
Tape the small rectangle at 35 inches on the stick.
Tape the ruder on the small rectangle
Put the 6 grams of clay on the tip balsa wood stick.
Fly your glider!

10. How to launch the boy glider.
Hold your arm in a 90 degree angle and throw the glider and watch it do amazing stunts !

11. How to launch the girl glider.
Hold the glider in a 90 degree angle but make sure that your arm is straight.
Throw the glider and have fun.

12. Adjustments If you put the wings at 15 inches the glider will go up.
And if you put the wings on 20 inches the glider will go straight.
