When adding or subtracting, line up numbers by place-value, get a total using the operation, then round away any column that does not have a value on the right of the decimal.
For multiplication and division, find the number with the least number of significant figures of all in the calculation, that will be the number you round the answer to.

2. 2.4 Graphing Graphs are a visual way to represent data.
The manipulated, independent variable should be on the x axis, while the responding, dependent variable should be on the y axis.
Circle graphs or pie charts make sense when you are analyzing % makeup of each item in a group.
Bar charts make sense when individual items on the x axis.
When x data values in-between the numbers or values on the x axis make sense, you should use a line graph.

The slope is defined as rise/run or change in y over change in x.
To figure out what slope is telling you look at the units in the y axis over the units in the x axis…rise over run.
Interpolating data would be estimating a data point between two known values or between the data points and the zero.
Extending the line outside of the known data points to estimate a value is called extrapolating.
