Find books by Author Title Series Plot
Tip: The Plot search can be helpful when patrons remember the story, but not the author or title, because you can search by Genre - mystery, adventure, love stories, fantasy Character - women detectives, eleven year old boys, African-Americans, mothers and daughters Time Periods - sixteenth century, Victorian, colonial roman Events - world war II, depression, gold rush Themes/Subjects - courage, moving, survival, wilderness, awards (Newbery, YALSA, etc.) Setting - south, Georgia, England, Boston, Africa, northwest

The Boolean Search provides a powerful search with many options for fields to search and ways to limit results Tip: Limit by age level or Lexile rating to find books for K-12 students

Results can be sorted by Author Title Publication Year Popularity

Each item in the results list has additional information about the book and the author, such as publication information, summary, reviews, author read-alikes, author web sites, and more. Tip: The Find Similar Books button is helpful when someone wants more books like one he or she has enjoyed reading. Tip: Subject Headings can be used to search for additional books matching topics of interest.

Books can be added to a folder to be printed or emailed.
Items added to the folder will stay until you close the browser window. You can access them using the View List button. OR…

My NoveList You can also click Sign In to My NoveList on the left to create your own free account to save lists and searches or create alerts. Tip: Save lists of books to share with patrons or to use for particular seasons, events, or displays. Lists can be of books for particular age/Lexile levels or topics of interest. Tip: Click on Search History to save your searches. Tip: From Search History, you can also save Alerts so that you receive s when a book matching your search is added to NoveList.
