4. What do we do in HOSA?
COMPETITIONS!- We compete at the regional, state, and national level in a wide variety of health care related categories (ex. Tests, Interviewing Skills, Medical Spelling, Biomedical Debate, Public Service Announcement, & more can be found on HOSA’s website). Can compete individually or with a group and if you take your competition seriously, you could move on to states and nationals in Orlando!
Community Service Projects- Kimberly Homes drive, Toys for Tots, National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, etc.
Volunteering for Medical Hours- Glam Run, ornament making, Hospice events, etc.

Click on Active.com (Make sure it says 2018)
Click green button Register Now
Select Team Registration, then Continue
Fill out all required information
Under Team Information, select join a team and PHUHS HOSA (Webb)
Continue on to pay $30

Volunteer Check-in :00am-end (2 spots)
Set up tables + signs :30am-7:30am (2 spots)

Race Marshalls :00am-end (6 spots)
Food Area Helpers :30am-end (2 spots)

9. Membership Dues
$35 membership fee due by this coming Sunday, September 16th
After the 16th, the price will increase to $45 until the final deadline of Friday, September 21st
Go to PHUHS website > Online Payments (right hand side) > HOSA Dues

10. Lower Board Elections
Positions available: President Elect (9th), Vice President (10th), Historian (9th), Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian
Letters of intent (why you are a good candidate for this position, prior experience, etc.) due to your medical teacher by Monday, September 24th
Elections on Friday, September 28th

11. T- Shirt Designs
Due to your medical teacher by Friday, September 28th, winner gets a free shirt!
Voted on by the board on October 4th and the winner will be announced at the next meeting
Must Include: HOSA 2019 and this year’s theme- Define Your Purpose
