1. Project Tracking Results
One of the objectives of Flagship 4 is to track how CBDRR projects being implemented in Nepal are contributing to the disaster resilience of communities and more broadly, nationally.
To track this progress and provide an overall picture of CBDRR in Nepal, including how projects are achieving Flagship 4’s 9 minimum characteristic of a disaster resilient community, the Flagship 4 project tracking system working group have devised a short survey.

Results are from CBDRR activities in 74 VDCs
Survey is 38 questions
Projects that have been implementing for >6months are asked to complete the survey

4. Ongoing, systematic, participatory, multi-hazard risk and capacity assessments which enable the monitoring and evaluation of DRR at VDC and community level and which link into district and national monitoring and evaluation systems.

5. Community teams which are trained and equipped to provide hazard warning and evacuation information, light search and rescue and basic first aid.

This could also include early warning and evacuation team, relief distribution team and needs assessment team.

6. A DRR/M plan at VDC level which meets the Flagship 4 minimum requirements and is regularly updated, implemented and tested.

A Disaster Risk Reduction / Management plan has been prepared at VDC / municipality level. Plan includes:
Ongoing risk and capacity assessments
Deployment plan for community teams / task force from

11. Inclusive, community based early warning systems which are integrated with Village Development Committee (VDC) \ ward, district and national early warning systems.
Some CBDRR agencies are finding it difficult including this characteristic into their projects.
