He is God’s Passover lamb (John 1:29)

Kidron means dark, dusky or gloomy.
The blood of the lambs flowed here.

He stops His disciples from risking their lives to defend Him (John 18:10-11; Matthew 26:39-53)

They come at night (John 13:30; 3:19)
They fear the reaction of others (Matt. 26:3-5)
They are a mob (cf. Exodus 23:2)
They fall down when confronted (John 18:5-6; Proverbs 28:1)
