Figure 1 In vivo therapeutic efficacy of the A9g PSMA aptamer. By binding prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), the A9g aptamer blocks NAALADase/glutamate carboxypeptidase II activity and inhibits PSMA-dependent cell migration and invasion in cancer cells in a mouse model of metastatic prostate cancer. Severe combined immunodeficiency mice were treated with the indicated aptamers and analyzed following injection of luciferase-expressing PSMA-positive prostate cancer cells. Modified from ref. 3.
